Dolly's Story

Howdy, partner! It's me, Dolly, and I'm here to steal your heart. With a personality as big as the great outdoors, I'm a young, female dog who's affectionate, friendly, and gentle. My loyalty knows no bounds, and I'm always up for showering my favorite people with love and cuddles. I may be a mystery when it comes to other dogs, but when it comes to humans, I'm an open book, ready to share my adventures and affection with you. I'm always eager to explore, whether it's a walk in the park or a journey to find the perfect stick. Life with me is a tail-wagging good time! So, if you're looking for a faithful companion to join your pack, I'm your gal. Let's write our happily ever after together!

Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE)'s Adoption Policy
1. Complete an Application We want every pet to find a true forever home, so we match based on long-term fit, not first-come. Please complete the application at www.icarearkansas.com/application . Our Adoption Committee reviews it, calls you, and walks through any questions. We talk about daily care, exercise, vet visits, and how your current pets and family may adjust. If you rent, we confirm pet approval with your landlord. We also contact your two personal references and your vet. If you don’t have a vet yet, we’ll just make sure we’re on the same page about ongoing medical care. 2. Meet the Pet(s) Once you’re approved, we’ll set up a time for you to meet the pet(s) you’re interested in. We suggest everyone in your home attend if possible so you can see how the pet fits with your family. 3. Pay the Fee and Sign the Contract When you pick your new family member, you’ll meet with our adoption coordinator to pay the fee and sign the contract. We’ll answer any last questions so you feel ready and excited. 4. Pick Up Your New Pet Pick-up day is a happy day. For dogs, please bring a collar, leash, and harness so the trip home is safe and calm. We’ll send you home with the pet’s medical records and anything else you need to get started.
