Doilie's Story

This is Doilie, an adorable 2-3 month old terrier/schnauzer mix.

Her coat is wiry black and tan with some white on her paws and chest. She is a playful, happy girl who loves to chase a ball or play tug with one of her toys. Doilie is potty trained, sleeps all night in her crate and likes to go on walks. She adapted quickly to our schedule and recently learned to come down the stairs. Her energy level is high, but after playtime she loves to take long naps on your lap. It is important to remember that she is still a puppy and will need guidance to ensure she grows into a mature, well-trained young lady.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
