Dodger's Story

Dodger #A2053990 (HW NEG)

1/20/2026 EUTH REQ | Staffordshire Mix | Male | 2Y | 33.3 lbs | HW NAD/NEG

On leash temp test: https://youtube.com/shorts/MPl3_sJfg9A

On leash temp test 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/2I_jpZK9Wfk

:

I met dodger without realizing I would fall in love. I just showed up for a quick temp test and he was out in the runs, I figured he was a pup so I took him to temp test a euth dog. He did amazing! He didn't jump on the dog, he understood the vibes! I've been seeing him pretty frequently and using him for a lot more temp test and he's just your wiggly, happy fun guy! Lately he has been getting tired of the same routine of no play or any movement enrichment so it's costing him to stress a bit! He needs a friend and a yard in order for this puppy to be “relaxed”, meet his needs. Dodger is a cutie and as a puppy doesn't have his full 2 brain cells yet to stay for a good picture

Dodger is your goofy guy that's just here for the vibes! Really love this little dude!!

** Temp test in comments

Intake:

Owner surrender.

Shelter Notes:

1/25/2026 – Approaching Dodger while walking the row, he had pottied in his kennel. He was unsure about being leashed and was sniffing it. Once leashed and walked out, he tied to the wall. He is friendly but presents a tense body with tail down. He waited patiently on the wall. After finishing with his kennel he walked back into his kennel with no issues.

1/27/2026 – Approaching Dodger, he was patiently waiting at the front of the kennel with a waggy tail. Walked on a semi-loose leash to the runs sniffing everything he came across. In the run a volunteer took him for a walk and loved him. He greeted other dogs with a waggy tail and play bowing. Walking back to south he walked loosely and went into his kennel with no issue.

1/31/2026 – Wagging tail in kennel, relaxed body. Followed treat trail, walked on a loose leash, play bowing at neighboring dogs in outside runs.

2/5/2026 – Jumping on kennel door along with forward barking and reactive in kennel as handler walked by with dogs. Very forward with dilated pupils. Once on leash he walked loosely and remained relaxed and loose in the runs. Did not show the same behavior as in kennel. Possibly barrier reactivity. Due to this, placed on Adopt Eval to monitor.

Medical Notes:

1/20/2026 – Weight 33.3 lbs. Heartworm test NAD/NEG. Intake exam normal.

1/29/2026 – Thick nasal discharge and sneezing noted in kennel. Diagnosed with URI; moved to treatment to initiate care.

1/29/2026 – Started treatment for URI. Stable on exam.

Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com/available-animals please note if you utilize an Iphone there are two scroll bars on the side of the screen to scroll down through available animals.

You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.
