Hey there, potential humans! My name is Dobby. I'm a male German Shepherd mix. I know I may look like a big and tough dog, but let me tell you, I'm just a big ol' softie at heart. My DOB is 1121.23. He is vaccinated, neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $450.00. We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in an apartment. Appearance wise, I've been told I'm quite adorable (it's the ears, isn't it?). But don't let my cuteness fool you, I'm an active and energetic boy who loves to play and run around. So, if you're looking for a new jogging buddy, I'm your dog! My sociability skills are on getting there. I'm not just a best friend, I'm a lover too. I'll shower you with affection and be your loyal companion. Plus, I'm a social butterfly and get along with everyone I meet. Who wouldn't want to hang out with me? I am almost done with basic obedience training, but I sure would love to continue doing more! It helps get my energy out. My personality is top-notch, if I do say so myself. I have a curious and friendly nature that will keep you entertained. And I'm always happy and playful, which is sure to bring a smile to your face. You might be wondering about my interactions with others. Well, let me tell you, I'm a pro at making human friends. I can be a bit hesitant on leash when meeting new dogs, but I just want to play. Have I said I am playful and full of energy? So, what do you say, humans? As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.

FaerieLand Rescue's Adoption Policy

FaerieLand process is the following: You can view our pets on Petfinder or the website. We require an application with a paid $25.00 application processing fee, with 2 personal & 1 vet reference along with a home visit prior to doing an adoption. Most of our dogs do better in a fenced area vs running loose. We match our rescues with current families according to current family members (IE: adults, children, teens), current pets(IE other dogs, other animals) and location, experience, level of activity, personality of the dog, temperament of the dog and want each dog to find their Furever home. Applying for a dog does not entitle you to adopt one of our dogs. German Shepherds & Welsh Corgis are herding dogs and need a job. They are not good dogs for apartments or small spaces. They require exercise every day. They require training and socialization to become a well rounded family member.
