Dixie is a special case and she has social anxiety, and is an escape artist. You MUST have a wooden or metal fence no exceptions!<br/><br/>Dixie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on prevention, has had a dental.<br/><br/>She also doesn’t like men, children, and takes time to get to know other small dogs. She is the kind of doxies that could take months to adjust to a new home and family.<br/><br/>Dixie loves to play with her toys, her favorite chew bone are Himalayan. She adores her soft round bed during the day but likes to sleep on a pillow in her peoples bed at night.<br/><br/>She is absolutely not leash trained.<br/>She came from a breeder that closed a few years ago.<br/>She does fine here in rescue but I want her to enjoy her life and if someone can give her more attention we will try.<br/><br/>She was adopted a few years ago but they had the metal fence with gaps in it, and she squeezed through late at night and came looking for Foster Mom. LowRider Dachshund Rescue's Adoption Policy
We try and make adopting a Dachshund as easy as possible while still assuring a safe and secure place for our fur-kids. We require that you fill out an adoption application and allow us to conduct a home visit, then we can match you up with the perfect LowRider! All of our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccination, microchipped, heart worm negative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application https://www.lowriderrescue.com/adopt Our adoption fees vary by how much vet care we have in our rescues. Adult dogs start at $250, puppies start at $350 and full breed dachshund puppies start at $650. All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed / neutered, microchipped and heart worm negative. Any and all puppies will be available for adoption after 12 weeks of age, they will have completed all puppy shots and have time to recover from the spay/neuter.
