Dixie's Story
Meet Dixie! This petite little girl makes up for her size with a BIG personality. She really embodies the phrase 'small but mighty'. Because of this, Dixie is looking for a specific, dog-savvy adopter that understands her quirks. Dixie will do best as an only animal and we think she should would prefer to not live with children. She also needs proper slow introductions to new humans. Fast, sudden movements and new people trying to immediately pet her is frightening for Dixie. She would benefit form a low traffic home, preferably with a safe space when visitors come over. She would also like a private home over a busy apartment building! Once she is comfortable with someone, she is a very loving girl. She has a lot of energy that will need to be exercised every day and she has a lot of opinions that she is not shy about vocalizing to you! Her favorite activity in the ENTIRE world is fetch so make sure you have plenty of tennis balls on hand! A close second is running circles in the yard while carrying the biggest toy she can find! She is smart and stubborn and a riot to be around. If you are looking for an energizer bunny to shake up your day, come inquire about Dixie!
