DIXIE's Story

Sweet Dixie has been at the rescue for a little over a year. The group of dogs that she entered care with were quickly adopted out. She is still waiting. Dixie was a young mom who had to scrounge for food while living outside. She no longer has to wonder where her next meal is coming from, but she is still wondering when someone will choose her. Dixie is an energetic girl who just wants to be near her human - she prefers women. She loves to roll in the grass in the sunshine and take walks. Dixie is energetic and enjoys running around at a dog park. Being a heeler, she is very smart and quick to learn. She really wants to please. Dixie would love to find a home where she feels secure and can be active. She will need time to settle in and get used to the routines of the household. Dixie is a sweet girl with a lot of love to give. She is not good with cats and is dog selective.

FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
