Divine's Story

Meet Divine:)

I have had her for a little over a month now and she has truly been the best foster dog, but I am trying to help her find her forever home. Divine's main priority in life is cuddles. She just wants to be near you and soak in as many pets and belly rubs as possible. She is about 54 lbs... but fully believes she is a lap dog. Personal space is not something she acknowledges, and if you sit down, you can expect a full-body cuddle whether you invited it or not.

Divine walks well on a leash if she has her harness, though she is strong and very curious (every squirrel is her business). She knows basic commands and is mostly house trained. She has had a few accidents, but when she's on a schedule she does great.

Divine does jump up on people, but we have been working on it and she is improving. She is also very playful and can be a little "mouthy" when excited. She is still learning appropriate play manners. Because of this, she may do best with older kids or a family willing to continue reinforcing boundaries.

She does well being left for several hours, though she can get into some mischief if she doesn't have toys or enrichment. I have not personally had her around other dogs, but she had positive dog meet-ups at the shelter.

Divine is looking for her new bestie!

Divine zoomies: https://youtube.com/shorts/mjQXPan7VQY?feature=share
Divine being silly: https://youtube.com/shorts/iAaCyYbdbUE?feature=share
