Disco's Story

Meet Disco! This sweet, slightly aloof girl went into a shelter with five giant puppies and a death date. We said no! Now that her mama duties are finally over & she is out of that shelter. She's ready to find a forever home of her own!

Disco is an independent girl. She likes people and enjoys meeting new friends, but her attention span is about as long as a goldfishs! She will happily accept a few pets, then suddenly shes off doing whatever she feels like. She isn't particularly interested in toys or balls either. Disco has one true love, and thats FOOD! Treats are absolutely the way to her heart, and honestly, after raising five giant puppies who were constantly draining her energy, can you really blame her?

Her puppies also seem to have completely desensitized her to just about everything. Disco is incredibly handleable and doesn't seem to mind having her feet, ears, or tail handled, or even being picked up. She's a sweet, easygoing girl who marches to the beat of her own drum and is perfectly content doing her own thing—as long as there are treats involved!
Bonus-She is a good car rider also!

Dog2Dog: Disco has participated in doggy playgroups with both male and female dogs. She seems to do best with gentle playful males and females. She isn't a big fan of too much physical contact, but she does get wiggly, playful, and enjoys bouncing around with her friends!

This girl has been through so much and yet she still remains so sweet! If you are looking for a best friend Disco would love to be your girl!

Disco is avaliable for a meet and greet and adoption process. However, she will need to remain in our care until after her spay surgery.

Misfit Manor Rescue & Sanctuary 's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must complete an application so we can evaluate the home, lifestyle, experience, current pets, and ability to meet the individual animal’s needs. Veterinary and landlord references may be verified, and meet-and-greets with household members and resident animals may be required. Adoptions are based on the best long-term match rather than first-come, first-served. Known medical, behavioral, and special-care needs are fully disclosed before placement. Approved adopters sign an adoption agreement requiring appropriate veterinary care, safe housing, and humane treatment. Animals may not be sold, transferred, or given away. If an adopter can no longer keep the animal, the animal must be returned to Misfit Manor Rescue and Sanctuary.
