Dipsy's Story

Meet Dipsy

Dipsy is a 4-year-old Heeler mix (his exact age will be confirmed at the vet) weighing in at 60 pounds of pure sweetness. He’s been living the indoor/outdoor life, so as he transitions to being a full-time house dog, he’ll need frequent potty breaks while he learns the routine. With a little patience and consistency, he’ll catch on just fine.

This boy is all about love. Scratches? Yes. Cuddles? Absolutely. Extra affection for no reason at all? His favorite kind. Dipsy truly thrives on human connection and is happiest when he’s close to his people, soaking up every bit of attention you’re willing to give.

Dipsy seems to do well with other dogs, though a meet and greet is required to be sure it’s a good fit. He has lived around cats before, but a slow, thoughtful introduction would be best to set everyone up for success.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be loved and included, Dipsy is ready to be your new best friend.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
