When I first arrived at Safe Haven I was very scared and didn't want to meet anyone, but over time I have learned to accept people and really want their attention. I can be very scared when I first meet a person, I need short repeated encounters with a person before I feel I can be myself, but when I do get ready for cuddles and belly rubs! Safe Haven's Adoption Policy

Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
