Dillon's Story

Dillon’s story could have ended on the side of the road. After being hit by a car and left behind by the driver, he was stray for weeks before making it to a shelter where, just as his infected wounds were healing, he was red-listed. We couldn’t let that be the end of his story. We pulled him hours before euthanasia, funds were raised, a total hip replacement surgery was done, and now glorious Dillon is ready for his second chance at a happy life.

Estimated at 7 to 8 years old, don’t let that frosted muzzle fool you! Dillon moves with the spirit of a 4 year old. He hikes regularly (by desire not necessity), is fostering with dogs of all sizes, and still runs around like a happy, goofy kid when he’s not sunbathing. Dillon is deeply connected to his people, incredibly gentle, and wonderful with children. He would make a terrific travel companion as he is great in the car, happy to enjoy new adventures and explore new places with his people.

Dillon survived because he had fight in him. Now he needs someone to fight for him back. Someone who has an active lifestyle and would love to have a dedicated side-kick to share their life with. If you would like to meet Dillon you can contact us at therealbark@gmail.com Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area but will consider out of area adoption for the right home.
