Digby (no more applications)'s Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Digby came to the shelter as an owner surrender with his mom Ginger and two siblings (both already adopted). The puppies were born 12/31/2025 and all are black, Digby being unique from his wavy-haired siblings with a coarse, wiry, terrier-like coat. Their mother is an unknown mix somewhat resembling a spaniel, maybe with mini Australian shepherd, but we don't know the identity of the father. Digby has already been microchipped and received 2 puppy shots, and his $150 adoption fee covers all of his vetting. We will coordinate his rabies shot and neuter with his adopter when age appropriate.

Digby will need training in all areas as he is a puppy. He needs a home in which he won't be left alone for long hours. He should do well with another dog and is young enough to learn to behave appropriately with cats. Kids over 5 would be best as he is a smaller puppy who will most likely be a small to medium sized adult dog. Patience is key with puppies and Digby needs a home committed to his needs for his entire life, through all of the bumps and frustrations that puppy ownership entails.

NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport.
