MEET DIESEL<br/><br/>Diesel is a handsome 2.5-year-old, 70 lb brindle Shepherd mix with a beautiful heart and a story that makes you wish you could give him the biggest hug. Having spent much of his young life in shelters, Diesel hasn’t had the easiest start, but you would never know it from his sweet and loving personality. Despite everything, he remains a gentle, friendly boy who loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and still has so much love to give.<br/><br/>Diesel is both house-trained and crate-trained, and he’s a wonderful companion who just needs someone willing to give him the chance he deserves. He is currently recovering from a partial cruciate ligament tear, and plans are underway to help improve his mobility through a custom brace, physiotherapy, and other supportive care. His walks have been limited because of his injury, but with the right support and recovery, he’ll be able to enjoy more adventures in the future. For now, he’s perfectly happy soaking up affection and enjoying the comforts of a loving home. <br/><br/>After spending so much of his life waiting for his turn, Diesel would thrive in a quieter, loving home with patient, confident people who will help him feel safe and secure. He’s wonderful with other dogs, although his compatibility with cats is unknown.<br/><br/>What makes Diesel so special is that, despite the uncertainty and challenges he’s faced, he hasn’t lost his trust in people or his ability to love.
