Diego's Story

Meet LAFM Diego ♥️
Rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter, Diego is proof that love—and personality—only get better with age. At 13 years young, this distinguished gentleman still has plenty of pep in his step, especially when the leash comes out. Say the word “walk,” and Diego is ready to go!

When he’s not enjoying a stroll, Diego is a world-class snuggler. He’s a champion napper, a professional snorer, and quite possibly the most polite kisser you’ll ever meet. He’s currently perfecting his manners when it comes to food—working hard to request just the last bite instead of every bite.

Diego gets along famously with all the neighborhood dogs and absolutely adores people. His only known disagreement? The gardener… mainly because he tends to interrupt Diego’s very important afternoon snooze schedule.
This sweet boy has brought so much laughter and warmth into his foster home. What started as opening our home to an older dog who needed a soft place to land quickly turned into something much bigger. Diego is full of love, joy, and zest for life. He seems to know exactly when to rest his chin on your knee or give you a gentle kiss when you need it most.

It truly feels like he’s always been here—like family.
Diego may be a senior, but his heart is young, and he has so much love left to give. He’s simply looking for a home where he can spend his golden years doing what he does best: loving his people.

Diego is healthy, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

🌺If you’re interested in meeting this guy, please submit an adoption application on our website www.LoveAtFirstMutt.org
