Diego's Story

Diego is ready for his forever home and for a family who will appreciate just how special he is.

At around 25 pounds, Diego is the perfect mid-sized companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He has a wonderful ability to match the energy of his home. When it’s time to relax, he’s content to lounge in his favorite chair and enjoy a quiet day nearby. When it’s time for fun, he’s the first one ready for adventure, eagerly heading to the door with excitement.

Diego is very sweet and affectionate, loves being around his people, and absolutely adores kids. He is crate trained and settles nicely with routine, and he does not show possessiveness around food. He can live with other dogs, but they should be larger than him and introductions should be done slowly and thoughtfully to set everyone up for success. With proper structure and guidance, he can coexist well and enjoy canine companionship.

Diego will need a patient adopter willing to continue working on his leash manners, as he can pull when excited. He should not live in a home with cats due to a strong prey drive. With consistency, structure, and continued training, Diego will make an incredibly loyal and loving sidekick. He’s ready to find the home where he truly belongs.

Adoption is $350, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.

APPLY on our WEBSITE:
Rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt
Rebeldogsdetroit.com/becomeafoster
