Diego's Story
Diego
Approx 2yrs old
Weight 26kg

Diego is a super sweet, medium energy boy that just wants to be loved on. From the moment Diego walked into his foster home he acted like he owned the place. His calm confidence helps him excell in most new situations. He has taken meeting new friends of different species in stride. He has even met a small senior dog that he was very polite with. Some of the male dogs have been less certain of him but for the most part he has quickly became friends with everyone else. He's up for some play time with his furry companions but where he most wants to be is beside his human friends receiving all their love.

Inside the house Diego has mostly been a gentleman. He calmly explores but mostly wants to be where you are. He will play with toys but it's mostly an attempt to get you to play with him. He likes treats but he's picky with what he likes. Diego is working on some training and is good with sit, down and wait but often gets to lay down and wants his belly scratched. Diego's one fear is his kennel. He doesn't love it but is becoming more resigned to it. With some extra tasty treats as encouragement he will go inside and doesn't make much fuss unless he feels like he is really missing out on something or it's time to go out. He does have some extra nervous energy coming out of the kennel and does jump a bit but that is getting better daily. Diego is potty trained but once the resident male dog moved back home he started marking a little. His foster mom is hoping now that he is neutered that will stop.

Diego loves to go for walks and explore his surroundings. He likes to stay at the end his leash but doesn't strain on it. When he passes other dogs he is curious but polite and doesn't generally pull to greet them.

Every person that has met Diego admires just how sweet and loving this boy is. He has not had much experience with small children but the one he does loved him and the feeling was mutual. He was lucky to have a slumber party with another foster with a teenage son that Diego was smitten with as well.

If you are looking for a relaxed, sweet boy with a heart of gold then this is your boy. He would do well with a family or anyone looking for a cuddle buddy. Diego would be happy to have furry siblings or be the only spoiled pup in his family. If you think Diego would be perfect for you, apply today!

Adoption fee is $295. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
