Diego's Story

Deigo Is such a good boy and deserves a home so much, hes been in foster care for almost his entire life. <br/><br/>Deigo is good with dogs, but it must be the right dog. This is his best gal pal Maggie who he gets to visit with sometimes. Deigo needs a home with a Maggie type dog. He needs that no nonsense older dog who will show him the ropes and keep him in line. He absolutely adores Maggie and loves and respects her. He takes correction from her beautifully. However if put with the wrong dog it could easily turn to an altercation. Deigo doesnt get that most dogs don't appreciate his rough and tumble paws and spit flying play style and they get mad at him rally fast and he doesn't get that he's making them mad and keeps engaging them in play when they are ready to tear into him. Poor dude just doesnt get it. There has to be a home out there with a Maggie, there has to be. Or a home with no other dogs is ok to. Deigo also does really well in a controlled setting taking walks with other dogs. He's been waiting so so long for a family. Please give our guy a share .Deigo is fully vetted and 2 years old.

Shirley's Angels Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

*IF AN ANIMAL IS SHOWING ON THE SITE, THEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE* The adoption process can take several business days and your patience is much appreciated as we process your application. We do not do same day adoptions. The process consists of filling out an application and verifying the application information. We will contact your landlord (if applicable) to verify that they are ok with you adopting an animal. We will contact your vet (if applicable) to verify that your pets are current on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered. We also contact your two personal references so please make sure they are prepared to answer (or return) our phone call. There will be a home visit as part of the adoption process. We operate on a first-come, first-serve policy. The first completed application on a specific animal will place that animal “on hold” while we process your application. However, we do accept multiple applications on one animal. If we decide the first “hold” is not a good match, we move on to the second application and so on, until the right home is found for that particular animal. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt. If you rent, we will require permission from your landlord in order to allow you to adopt. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption to anyone for any reason.
