Diane's Story
Meet Diane – Your Gentle Giant

Diane is a sweet and laid-back girl who simply loves being around people. She’s just as content lounging on the couch, enjoying her own company, as she is spending time with her family. Diane is incredibly patient and calm, especially with children – she’s been around many and always does well with them.

She’s not motivated by food (even when napping!), so if there’s a tasty snack nearby, you’ll likely just see her lift her head briefly before going right back to her snooze. Diane has a confident and independent personality. Though she may have some Pit Bull and Shepherd in her, it’s often these very breeds that cause her to be passed over by potential adopters, especially in neighborhoods with strict HOA regulations. But don’t let that stop you – Diane is deserving of a loving family, and she’s waiting to find hers.

Diane’s journey began when, at just 4 weeks old, she and her sister were found abandoned on the streets of Fresno. Despite their rough start, they were given love and care by the rescue team. Sadly, Diane’s sister was adopted out while Diane stayed behind. When we learned she was struggling and crying at the shelter, we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. We rushed to get her, and when we found her, she was in shock from the experience. The moment we took her home, Diane began her healing journey, and the next day she was back to being her sweet self.

Diane’s story is why Diggs4Dogs Rescue exists—to help dogs like her, who’ve been through so much, find their forever homes. Diane is a truly special girl: calm, loving, and naturally well-behaved. Rescue dogs like her are always the most grateful, and Diane is no exception. She’s ready to be the cherished companion someone’s been searching for.
