Diamond's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- DIAMOND IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.CONTACT DEE AT k9rescueva@gmail.comDiamond is a beautiful, sweet, and affectionate blue pittie girl. She is the SWEETEST thing. She seems to be a very low key lady. She is often catching a snooze in her bed. When briefly in foster she was a couch potato and did well with crate training! She does prefer to be the only pup in your life. She LOVES a good belly rub and butt scratch. Diamond gives kisses and will 'paw' you if you stop petting, she loves to lean against you for her scratches.Diamond now weighs about 70 lbs. Diamond is quiet and reserved, and will bond quickly with her humans. Diamond is dog-reactive and defensive when meeting other dogs, and shows a high prey drive for small fuzzy animals (cats, squirrels, possums, etc.); she should not live with other pets. Diamond is a big girl, and pulls strongly on her leash, she needs obedience and leash training. She cannot go to dog parks, and must be handled carefully on walks where she may encounter other animals. She's not actively aggressive, but will not back down if another dog acts aggressive towards her. She would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard. She just needs a home where she can focus on her people, and just give them all her love for years to come. Diamond needs an experienced bully owner who understands the breed, and is willing to work with her. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DIAMOND, PLEASE CONTACT: DEE AT k9rescueva@gmail.com
