Dexter! Pretty boy

Hi! My name is Dexter. I’m 9 months old. I’m a Chow/Rottweiler mix. That makes me a very special dog. The Chow part of me is intelligent, reserved and has an independent spirit. The Rottweiler part of me is calm, confident and courageous. I also have a strong drive to protect my home and family- but I am an all around gentle guy. I get along with other dogs and I am super smart and happy. I am VERY good looking (if I do say so myself). All of these traits are good but my new best friend will have to be a PACK LEADER. Otherwise, I might try to act like I’m the boss. My previous owner was a PACK LEADER but he had a big change in his life that didn’t allow me to stay with him. He is very sad. If my new owner loves me half as much as he did I will be a lucky kid. PLEASE give me a chance to live in a house and not in a kennel! They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason.
