Dexter's Story

Dexter is a 17 week old mixed breed male puppy that is currently about 20 pounds. He was flown in from a rescue from the island of Saint Croix. He’s working on his leash training, but he’s doing great. He’s quiet in his crate and sleeps through the night. He’s a perfect gentleman in the car. He is still working on his manners and house training but has an amazing calm temperament. He does great with other dogs, adults, and kids of all ages. Lakeside Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process consists of a completed and approved application which includes photo(s) of your home, a personal reference and a vet reference if other pets are currently in the home. All applications must be completed in entirety to be considered. Our adoption fee includes your pet's spay/neuter, UTD vaccines and deworming that are age appropriate, rabies and microchip. Meet and greets are only scheduled with an approved application, and no application will be processed if incomplete. You must fill out an application to help achieve our goal of finding permanent, responsible and loving homes for the animals in our care. Applications are not approved on a first come first served basis, but on which home is best suited for the animal. We rely solely upon adoption fees and donations to continue our mission to rescuing the abused, abandoned and neglected animals of our communities.
