Dewey's Story

Meet Dewey!

Dewey is a sweet, intelligent pup with a nose for adventure. One of his favorite pastimes? Sitting right in front of you, soaking up belly rubs and head scratches like it’s his job (and frankly, he’s excellent at it).

While he’s still working on his leash manners, this handsome boy is sharp as a tack and eager to learn. With a little guidance, he'll be a pro in no time. Dewey would be a wonderful fit for an active family looking for a four-legged hiking buddy or camping companion. he’s always up for an outdoor outing and ready to be part of the fun.

Approximate Birth Date - 06/29/2018

Size - Large ( 59lbs)

Likes - Belly rubs, Cuddles, head scratches, treats and play time in the dog run!

House Training - Dewey is fully house trained!

Cats - Because he's a high energy dog, we've been told he likes to chase cats, he would probably not do well in a home with cats, unless someone was willing to commit to doing a very slow introduction and work with him on redirecting his interest to toys.

Other dogs - When it comes to other dogs, Dewey is something of a social bulldozer. friendly, yes, but lacking all sense of personal space or subtlety. Let’s just say… he’s enthusiastic so he might do okay with a dog that can handle his energy level.

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
