We believe in taking time to go through our thorough process to try to match the dog with the best fit for that dog.<br/><br/>*You must be approved to adopt him before we will schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs.<br/><br/>*AGE: 1.5 years (born September 2024)<br/> <br/>*WEIGHT: 63 lbs.<br/> <br/>*FENCE REQUIREMENT: A physical fence and yard are required. No electronic or invisible fences will be allowed as we do not think he would be successful with those.<br/> <br/>*COAT TYPE: gorgeous, curly, low-shedding coat. You should be prepared to brush him often (he loves being brushed) and have him groomed regularly (every 6-8 weeks) with an estimated cost of $120/groom.<br/><br/>*ENERGY LEVEL: Energetic! Deuce has spurts of high energy; he will settle down in his crate if he needs to. He loves to run and play with the other dogs in his foster home. He is super sweet!<br/><br/>*DOGS: Deuce's foster home has 3 dogs that he gets along with. Sometimes he can be a little too energetic so he would do best in a home with younger dogs that will match his energy level. <br/> <br/>*CATS: Unknown; Deuce has had no exposure to cats in his foster home or prior home.<br/> <br/>*KIDS: Deuce would be fine with kids 10+ who are comfortable around large dogs. He does still have the puppy energy and sometimes doesn't have control of all his limbs and could accidentally knock over young kids. He loves to jump up when greeting people and jumps up to see what is in your hands if you have food in them.<br/><br/>*CAR: Deuce does great in the car. He rides like a champ and loves to lay down and relax.<br/><br/>*CRATE: Deuce is crate trained. He will go in his crate when told "kennel". He settles quickly and is relaxed in this crate. He sleeps in his crate at night and will go in his crate during the day on his own when he wants a break.<br/> <br/>*HOUSE TRAINED: Yes! He is fully house-trained!<br/> <br/>*LEASH: Deuce needs work walking on a leash without pulling. He would benefit from additional leash training.<br/> <br/>*AT THE VET: Deuce was shy but good at the vet.<br/> <br/>*WITH GROOMING: Deuce’s coat was shaved down due to matting; he has no issues at his spa day. He was very sweet to the groomer.<br/><br/>Deuce is a 16 month old male Goldendoodle who weighs around 60 lbs. He came into IDOG as an owner rehome. His former family loved him dearly; they were going through some life changes and wanted him to be with a family who had more time for him and could give him more attention and exercise.<br/><br/>Here is what his foster family has to say about him:<br/><br/>Deuce is the sweetest most cuddly Doodle around. He is filled with endless amounts of joy, love, and energy. He gets along with all dogs that he has met and loves all the people he has met too! Even though at first he can be a little shy he warms up quickly. He has the biggest heart and is down for any adventure you can think of!<br/><br/>He is goofy, affectionate, and always up for tje best cuddle session. He loves to zoom around the house; and he always has to know where his humans are. He loves his toys and loves to romp around with other dogs. Deuce has brought endless amounts of energy and laughs into his foster home. He’s a total ham and loves to make people smile!<br/><br/>Deuce will thrive with an active family who will include him in their daily adventures. He doesn’t like to be left out and will whine if he feels like he is. He loves playtime in the backyard, and plenty of interactive fun! He loves to be near his people and his foster dog siblings. Deuce is a very loving dog and loves to play. After getting his energy expended, he is very content to be at your feet or alongside you when it’s time to settle down.<br/><br/>Deuce will do well in a home where his people are active, engaged, and ready to match his enthusiasm for life. He loves hanging out with his foster siblings. He knows sit, shake, down, come and kennel. Deuce is an energetic, loving boy who is searching for an active, engaged, and affectionate forever home. He will be your loyal shadow and your adventure buddy all rolled into one beautiful, big-hearted Doodle. <br/>Deuce is neutered, microchipped, and current on core vaccines. His fecal and heartworm tests were negative and he is on heartworm/flea/tick preventives.<br/><br/> ADOPTION FEE: $600<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE EXPLANATION:<br/>Puppies and highly adoptable dogs such as Duce have a higher adoption fee to help IDOG cover the vetting and expenses of the other dogs in IDOG whose adoption fees do not cover their expenses. Our expenses are very high these days due to increased vetting expenses, board and train costs, medical/health issues and surgery that is needed for some of our dogs. IDOG relies heavily on donations to bridge the gap between our adoption fees and our expenses.
