Denver's Story

Sweet Denver was saved from a high-kill shelter on the day she was supposed to be put down! She deserves a second chance at life, and you can give that to her. She told us she will be forever grateful! Denver is an absolute sweetheart and was in a foster home that had other dogs. She is house-trained and gets along with other dogs but does best with dogs of same size or smaller. Denver is currently in Texas, but we are looking for a foster to bring her to NJ! At Home Free Animal Rescue, our goal is to make adopting a rescue dog as simple as possible. All are temporarily housed in private foster homes, so many are already housebroken or well on the way, some are crate trained, and many are working on leash-walking and basic obedience. Our foster families are also alert to our pets' behaviors and needs so that we are better able to fit pet to adopter based on personality and requirements. When looking to adopt a new friend through HFAR, please be sure to let us know what's important to you, so that we can help place the perfect pet in your home.
