Denny's Story

Denny was picked up as a stray on Halton Rd in Greenville. He's since transformed from underweight and anxious to healthy and SO much happier! He's housebroken, knows basic commands, and adores his humans. Denny has had a small amount of professional training to which he responded so well! He loves to be out on walks, but is also a couch potato. He's about 1 year old and 60 pounds.

Denny needs pet parents who can understand he's had a rough start, and can provide a safe environment--and plenty of exercise--to help his nervous system continue to heal. He would do best as the only dog in the home, as he tends to get over-excited with other dogs. He has not been tested around children but would probably do well with older kids (just based on his size and strength). Trazodone has been extremely effective for his anxiety. He THRIVES when surrounded by friendly humans in a calm space. Denny's foster lives in an apartment, and he's doing well overall, but she believes a backyard and more space to move would only help him be more balanced.

Denny is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. He's heartworm positive and will be starting treatment shortly.. all costs will be covered by the rescue. Denny will be the silliest, most loyal boy to whoever can give him a good home. To learn more, please fill out an application at auctionforakaws.org (http://auctionforakaws.org/) and someone from our organization will contact you.

**Adoption Fee is to be determined.
**We do not adopt outside a 100 mile radius of Greenville, SC.
