Come meet Denise and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (2/15) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Denise Best Guess for Breed: Lab and retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of February 2026 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 33 lbs as of December 2025 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested her with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Denise could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. We haven't seen her with kids, we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Special adoption considerations: Because Denise is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. She LOVES other dogs, has an adorable play style, initiating and participating in play with our resident dog gently and respectfully. She is quiet in her crate and is a fabulous house guest.
