Denali

My name is Denali. Boy, Friday the 13th certainly wasn't my lucky day! I was surrendered to the shelter along with my housemate (maybe even relative!) Dule. Our owner was a little old lady that is ill and ran a somewhat "backyard breeder" operation. She has way too many dogs now and her friends and family were encouraging her to give up her dogs. They almost had to pry us out of her fingers because she really didn't want to let us go. I'm a handsome 5 year old, but I'm scared right now. I'm just hanging out in the back of my kennel trying to adjust to what's going on. The nice staff is spending time getting me to trust, but I will definitely need a patient home that understands what I've been through.
