Demi

People have been asking for a Demi puppy update ……. Our sweet baby girl. Demi arrived with a very serious hernia on her belly. Our vet did immediate surgery, and she has healed nicely. Demi has visited our vet a couple times, and we are still reviewing options for her deformed paw. Demi arrived at our rescue at only six weeks old. We were told her birthday is February 1st. The people who surrendered Demi communicated the other puppies would not allow Demi to eat and pushed her away. She has not missed a meal since. Demi is functional with her deformed paw, and it does not appear to be painful. Demi is under the care of our vet. At first, we thought amputation was the best choice, but we have been monitoring her activity and she uses her leg and paw. Again, we are working with our vet to determine the best course of action. She is very happy, social, loves everyone and can still do zoomies in the yard. She sleeps in the bed with her foster mom and is a huge cuddle-bug. We are thankful we had the opportunity to make a positive difference in Demi’s life. It could have gone in a totally different direction for this sweet little girl.
