Meet Delta Dawn<br/>Delta Dawn is a spunky, beautiful, smart shepherd mix born around 12/20/19. She is a medium-sized<br/>dog who has had quite a journey in her short life. Once a stray dog, she arrived at Coconino Humane<br/>Association from the Navajo Nation, along with three other siblings. She came to AARF the end of<br/>February 2021, along with a sibling and another Reservation dog.<br/>She loves the outdoors and long hikes and is learning to walk well on a leash and harness. She is<br/>extremely athletic and loves to chase a ball. She is able to bond deeply with a human who spends time<br/>with her and will come when called. She gets along with other dogs. However, her shyness was<br/>preventing her from getting adopted. Then Shanyn came along!<br/>Shanyn offered to foster Delta November 2024 and has given the following glowing reports of Delta’s<br/>progress. Delta is learning to walk confidently without pulling on a halti head collar. She is becoming<br/>desensitized to different sounds and new environments. She loves going for car rides and is a calm<br/>passenger. Building her confidence has been the main priority and she has made huge improvement.<br/>If you are interested in meeting Delta Dawn or have questions, please contact Shanyn to schedule a<br/>meet and greet. Delta still takes time to warm up to strangers, but if you are willing to spend some time<br/>with her, you will find her to be a great girl and a fast learner.
