Meet Delilah!<br/>~10-month-old Lab mix | Spayed Female | Loving, Smart, Loyal<br/><br/>Delilah is ready for her forever home and is looking for the right family who can appreciate her intelligence, loyalty, and big heart. This sweet girl is a people dog through and through — she loves affection, cuddles, and being part of the action. She’s interactive, snuggly, and has been wonderful with kids. She’s also showing signs that she can likely coexist with cats.<br/><br/>Delilah thrives in a home where she has structure, understanding, and maybe one other dog who reads and gives dog cues well. She’s very clear about her boundaries — she sometimes overcorrects dogs who overstep, and if she gets overwhelmed. Because of this, she isn’t a great fit for homes with multiple foster dogs or very young, impulsive dogs. She would do best with a confident, steady dog who either leads or respectfully follows her lead — much like her current companion Marlowe.<br/><br/>She has a few quirks, including resource guarding over her crate, favourite toys, and occasionally people she bonds with. Delilah will need someone willing to work with her and reinforce positive behaviors in a calm, consistent way. With the right guidance and environment, she has incredible potential to thrive.<br/><br/>Despite these needs, Delilah is a loving, affectionate, and loyal girl who will bond deeply with her family. She is smart, playful, and full of personality.
