Delaney (JN25-506)'s Story
HIGHLIGHTS
-Requires another confident dog already established in the home.
-Requires a secure yard.

Meet Delaney - A Sweet, Gentle Soul Ready to Shine

Introducing Delaney, a 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer weighing 12 pounds, who's as sweet as she is gentle. This lovely girl is still a bit nervous around people, but she's showing wonderful progress and slowly learning that she can relax and enjoy affection.

Delaney recently had a spa day and did amazing - she was calm and relaxed during her bath, seemed to genuinely enjoy it, and was a total sweetheart for grooming. She stayed curious and easygoing throughout, soaking up gentle pets and praise.

While Delaney can be a little hard to catch in her kennel, once she's in an x-pen, she's easy to pick up and settles quickly. She'll sometimes meerkat during pickup - stretching up curiously on her hind legs - and once she's held, she relaxes right into your arms, especially when wrapped in a cozy towel.

Out in the yard, Delaney shows her independent, curious side, greeting people at her own pace and getting along well with other dogs. She takes treats gently from your hand and enjoys quiet moments exploring.

Delaney is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her continue to build confidence and trust at her own pace. With time, love, and reassurance, this sweet girl will bloom into a devoted and affectionate companion.

----------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
