Meet Dee Dee <br/><br/>Sometimes the dogs who have been let down the most are the ones who have the biggest hearts. <br/><br/>Dee Dee is a precious 4-year-old Chow Chow mix who weighs just 35 pounds. She is a tiny little girl with an enormous heart, and despite everything that has happened to her, she has never stopped loving people.<br/><br/>Dee Dee was brought to a shelter with her puppy after they were dumped and left to fend for themselves. When her owner eventually came looking for her, they were told that Dee Dee was heartworm positive. Instead of taking Dee Dee home and getting her the medical care she desperately needed, they took her puppy and left Dee Dee behind. <br/><br/>Imagine being abandoned once, only to have the person you thought might come back for you choose your puppy and leave you behind because you were sick.<br/><br/>But Dee Dee didn’t let that heartbreak change her. <br/><br/>She is one of the sweetest, most loving girls you could ever meet. She absolutely adores people, dogs, AND cats. Since arriving in her foster home, she has slowly realized that she is safe and loved, and now her adorable personality is really beginning to shine.<br/><br/>Dee Dee has become quite the little cuddle bug. Every morning, when her foster parents start stirring in bed, Dee Dee happily joins them for some morning snuggles. And when her foster mom is preparing her food, Dee Dee will gently paw at her if she thinks she’s taking a little too long. She has figured out that foster mom is there to spoil her—and she’s not afraid to remind her!<br/><br/>Watching Dee Dee come out of her shell has been incredibly special. This little girl has been through so much, yet all she wants is to be loved, included, and surrounded by people and furry friends she can trust.<br/><br/>Dee Dee is spayed, potty trained, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is unfortunately heartworm positive, but that does NOT mean she is being forgotten again. Her adopter will be required to bring her to her scheduled heartworm treatments, which will be completely covered by FABS Rescue.<br/><br/>Dee Dee has already been abandoned once because she was sick. She will never be abandoned for that reason again.
