Hi! My name is DeeDee and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter. When no one came looking for me and my stray hold was up, I ended up on something bad called 'the list". Just hours before anything bad could happen to me, a nice lady sprung me and then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes. No one is exactly sure what breed mix I might be, possibly some type of terrier or feist mix? At just a little over 21lbs, I'm a great size ... not too big and not too small, and I'm about a year old so I'm not expected to get any bigger. I'm a little shy when first meeting new people, then I get all excited when I see you, and then after a short period of time I settle down and love getting attention, especially belly rubs. I have gotten along with the other medium sized dogs I have met although I do have an alpha-type of personality. So far, I haven't paid any attention to the cats I've encountered as I'm too busy looking for my food which I love. I have done well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of bedding, but I might let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you. I'm still learning about that thing called a leash, but I'm a smart girl and with treats and more practice I should be able to get it down. In the meanwhile I would love a fenced yard to run around and explore and to take care of my business.
