Deb's Story

Hi, I'm Deb--Your Next Snuggle Buddy!

Hi there! My name is Deb, and I'm a 68-pound sweetheart who recently arrived in Minnesota from Alabama. I was rescued from a hoarding situation, and I'm so thankful to be safe and searching for my forever family.

I'm a calm, easygoing girl who loves being close to my people. My favorite activities include relaxing beside my humans, resting my head in a lap, and soaking up all the pets I can get. I walk nicely on a leash without pulling and would love to be your peaceful, affectionate companion.

I'm potty-trained and doing great with crate training. I'm comfortable relaxing in my crate at bedtime or while my family is away. I'm also a very quiet girl--my foster mom hasn't even heard me bark yet!

I LOVE kids and am especially fond of my 6-year-old foster sister. I enjoy following her around the house, giving her kisses, and asking her for attention. I'm also good with other dogs and cats, so I could fit wonderfully into many different types of homes.

If you're looking for a gentle, low-key cuddle bug who loves people, kids, dogs, and cats, I may be the girl for you! All I need is a loving family, a cozy couch, and someone who will let me stay close while I nap and enjoy all the love I've been waiting for.

Deb is heartworm positive and is awaiting a negative test result. Her treatment has been completed but she recently had a positive microfilaria test. She will need topical heartworm prevention, Midamox, each month until the microfilaria test is negative- that preventative will be provided by the rescue until her next test. She will need a microfilaria test every 2-3 months until she has a negative result. During these months, she does not need to be on exercise restrictions. All other medical needs will be the responsibility of the adoptive family.
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

Adoption Fee - $400

To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
