Meet Dean

Dean is a 2 year old hound mix. He is just under 50 pounds. He was surrendered by his family because the toddler made him nervous and he snapped at him over a toy (after many growls were not warning enough that he was uncomfortable). What they didn't know, however, was that Dean was suffering from a tick-borne disease called Anaplasma. Now he is on antibiotics and will make a full recovery.

Dean is a little shy however warms up quickly with consistency and praise. We are recommending a home with no small children and not cats. We are not sure how much his tick-borne illness affected him in his interactions with the toddler in his last home, we are airing on the side of caution.

Dean is neutered, up to date on vaccines and Negative for Heartworm disease. He is crate trained and appears housebroken. He knows basic manners.
