Dean's Story

Dean ended up in the shelter with his brother Sam, and 3 female puppies. We don't know much about his past, other than they were dumped at a farm and then brought to the shelter. He is passive to his brother Sam and was extremely sweet and gentle with the puppies that were in his care.
Updates: Dean is very loving and can’t get enough belly rubs. He’s quiet inside and easily goes behind baby gate when needed. He’s mostly potty trained and knows “sit” but needs to learn other basic commands and house rules. He enjoys squeaky toys and is learning a few food puzzles. He is higher energy and needs a variety of positive outlets to keep him occupied. He seems to have a very high prey drive and will nip and jump on people. Not suitable for home with smaller children or cats (not tested though).
He enjoys walks and will wear a harness but needs a lot of training in this area. Squirrels, geckos, dogs are all distracting so he has a hard time listening and will pull and try to run when he sees them. .Would benefit from a secure, fenced yard with a dog friend or two that allows him to safely burn off energy. He seems to love meeting people and will play well with dogs. Needs an adopter willing to put in the training time with him. He’s really a great dog with a sweet personality!
