DeSoto is a retired landfill dog who now wants nothing more than to snuggle on a comfortable couch, give gentle kisses, and enjoy plenty of affection. He is incredibly sweet and loving and truly just wants to be close to his people.<br/><br/>DeSoto does wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. He has a special fondness for cats, and we believe they may have been his only companions during the two years he spent surviving on his own in a landfill.<br/><br/>His story is a memorable one. Some initially believed DeSoto was unfriendly, and in his viral rescue video he can be seen barking out of fear. The moment he was shown kindness through gentle touch, he completely melted.
