Dawson's Story
This is our little boy Dawson who was a puppy that grew up on the streets of Texas. Never knowing human kindness or positive interaction he learned to survive on his own. Just a baby trying to find food, shelter and safety. At some point he was hit by a car which shattered his femoral bone and with no one to help him the bone grew back funky. He can walk, run and play just fine but it does look strange:) Dawson is feral but in the months he's been here, he has made some small steps forward. He is now "proudly" sporting a purple collar without freaking out about that thing being on his neck. We can put a leash on him and allow him to drag it. Before when he saw the leash he would fly back to his kennel and push up against the back trembling. Although he is not quite ready for adoption I am hoping someone out there has the experience to work with dogs like him so we can get him moving a bit faster. If you think that may be you - please email me at amudoggies@gmail.com
