Thankfully, his owner eventually went to prison and all the dogs were taken off the property. When we saw his sweet face and heard his story, it melted our hearts and we had to rescue him to safety with us. <br/><br/>Now we’re determined to show Dawkins that there is so much more to life than what he experienced on the end of that chain! Dogs are so resilient and we’re happy to share that living on a chain for two years did nothing to dampen this boy’s spirit. Dawkins is happy, fun-loving, and crazy about people. He is definitely trying to make up for all the time he didn’t get attention, he is a total love-bug. 🥰 Dawkins loves to go for walks, but he does pull some and could use a bit of gentle training. He’s smart and wants to please so training should be pretty easy! Dawkins plays well with other dogs, but seems to prefer the ladies so far. We think he’d probably be just fine with the right male as well. Because he’s an active boy who loves people so much, he’ll likely make a great addition to even a very busy household.
