Davina *Waived Fee's Story
After spending more than 430 days in rescue, Davina has truly mastered the art of waiting. Davina is available for long-term fostering, adoption, or transfer to a rescue.

Abandoned on a lonely dirt road, she patiently awaited her owners' return, but fate took a cruel turn when she was struck by a car. Despite the pain, she remained steadfast in the last place she saw the humans she adored, even if they didn’t share the same feelings.

The accident left her with a broken leg and serious eye injuries. She underwent surgery to mend her leg, but complications arose, requiring a second minor procedure for pin removal. Thankfully, she has now fully recovered, and you would never guess she had ever suffered an injury. Davina is quick, nimble, and ready to rock & roll.

I affectionately refer to her as one of my weirdos. While she is generally friendly with other dogs, her play style can come off as aggressive due to her lack of social skills with other pups. The only dog she can play with without concern is Enzo, as their play styles align perfectly, allowing them to understand that their roughhousing is just their way of having fun. For this reason, unless you have a similarly quirky dog at home, I recommend that Davina be placed in a household as the only dog. She would also do well in a home that can accommodate a structured crate and rotate routine like she is used to.

She is house and crate trained, though she may need a brief refresher in a new environment, just as she did when she first arrived here. Davina is thought to be a delightful mix of Boston Terrier and Border Collie, estimated to be around two and a half to three years old. This petite pup surprises everyone with her size, as those who meet her often remark that she’s smaller than they expected based on her pictures. She weighs in at a lively 35-38 pounds. She is located in a foster home in Holly Hill, SC.

NAME: Davina

AGE: 2ish
BREED: Adorable Mix
WEIGHT: 30lbs

CATS: Needs more testing, for the most part seems like she is indifferent about them.
DOG: Good with dogs her size or larger (she does need to be crated for her meals)
KIDS: Good with kids

HOUSE TRAINED: Yes
CRATE TRAINED: Yes
LEASH TRAINED:Yes

ENERGY LEVEL: Medium

VACCINES: UTD + ProHeart12
HEARTWORM STATUS: Negative
PREVENTION MEDS: UTD
SPAYED/NEUTERED: Spay Pending

LOVES: Cuddles, snacks, attention, giving kisses, stuffed animals, car rides and belly rubs.
