David's Story

David

To apply for David visit: nhanimalrescue.org/david

David
Male
1 Year
Pit Mix
50 lbs

David is the ultimate people-lover—he's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of everyone, including men! In fact, he's become quite the regular at local bars, accompanying his foster mom, who happens to be a comedian. David is doing fantastic with all the new people he meets, charming them with his sweet demeanor and impressive manners.

This boy weighs about 50 pounds, but according to his vet, he could stand to lose a few—those butt dimples are just too cute! But shh, don't hurt his feelings! Maybe with a few more walks around Town Lake and a little less time rolling on his back, belly up (his absolute favorite activity!), he'll reach his goal weight in no time. And did we mention he walks great on a leash?

David is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows all the tricks—shake, sit, lie down, and even roll over. He's the perfect balance of loving without being overly needy, making him the ideal companion. He loves plush dog beds, treats and plush toys to walk around with.

Now, we have to be honest about one little thing: David is a total wuss when it comes to needles at the vet. We're talking about a level of drama that's unmatched! But it's all worth it for the love and companionship he offers.
If you're looking for a loving, well-trained dog, David is your perfect sidekick. And don't worry, the good far outweighs this quirky trait of turning into a drama king at the vet. Plus, he's absolutely adorable when you spoil him after his vet visits!

New Hope Animal Rescue NFP 's Adoption Policy
We verify references for our fosters and volunteers to make sure our rescued animals have the best care while waiting for their forever homes. Likewise, we ask any potential adopter fill out and submit our adoption application prior to scheduling a meet and greet with a pet in a foster home. This does not obligate you to adopt, but it is the first step towards being added to our approved list of adopters. Applicants are approved pending vet reference and personal reference checks, and a home visit. All current animals in the home must be spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines as well as heartworm and flea prevention and any information provided on an application will be verified. Thank you for your patience with our process! We are grateful you are looking to adopt your next pet.
