Dave aka Dolby's Story

Dave is a lovely 3-yr old Corgi. He loves his walks and can be very active. He requires physical and mental stimulation but also can entertain himself and nap in his bed. Dave is very sweet, affectionate and loves to hang out with his human and will ask for pets and belly rubs.

He is housetrained and can be left alone uncrated, with no barking or destructive behaviour. Dave loves to greet all dogs and humans. He is very curious and wants to be friends with everyone. He doesn’t always “read the room” when other dogs are reactive and tell him "go away" he might continue his friendship request

He only barks when he hears people outside so he would probably do best in a house. Dave can be skittish and sensitive to loud noises and moves very fast when he is scared. He can also get “mouthy” when excited. He gets underfoot and will sometimes nip at your feet and can be a tripping hazard. As a herding breed this is done out of playfulness and instinct, not aggression. He is a smart little dog and will benefit from some basic training. He will come when called but cannot be left in an unfenced area off leash as he is easily spooked and will be a flight risk. Dave would benefit from living with more than one person and/or with another dog who would be a play companion. While he has met children and seems to love them, he does jump up to meet them, therefore he would do best in a home with older children.
