Darla's Story

Meet Darla!

Darla arrived quite a scared girl after being found as a stray, and needed some reassurance. She turned it around quickly and has become a happy and playful little dog.

She's still learning what toys are for and has chewed on a few things, especially plastic. She can still be a little nervous at times, especially around things that are new to her, but she's gaining in confidence every day. She's a big snuggler, and would love to give you lots of kisses if you would let her! Darla was pretty unfamiliar with walking on a leash, but does well now except for being a little over excited. She is well house trained with going outside in the garden, but needs a little more practice associating walks with a time to do her business. Although she's generally quite a timid dog, occasionally her hackles go up and she has a perfect mini mohawk from her neck to her tail, very cute! She gets along well with all the other dogs she's met so far. She loves people once she gets over her initial caution around strangers - especially with other dogs to show her the way.

We would like to see Darla in a more quiet home with another small dog to keep her company. She is a cutie pie!

Darla is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
