I'm telling you Darius is just that! A sweet little treat in a fancy package! This handsome man is the sweetest combination of snuggle bug and playful pup! Darius may not have had the best upbringing. He was saved from a hoarding situation, where he just didn't get much socialization with people. As a result, he is unsure right at first, and may sniff you, move away and circle back while he figures it out. But, if you just give him a little bit to process the new humans, he will literally melt into you! He loves scritches, and to be with you wherever you are. He loves to play with toys, and is a big fan of other dogs! He has figured out housetraining, and though not a huge fan of being crated, he is fine once he goes in. He loves treats and is learning a few manners. He sleeps all night in his dog bed. His only fault- he has no idea how big and strong he is. His tail is in constant motion and can hurt when he's super excited- and if he's missed you big time- he really wants to greet you by jumping up. (We are working on that particular thing because he comes in hard with those hugs and if you aren't ready for them...Woof) He's getting there! So- if you are looking for a little chocolate to sweeten up your life- there is no need to look any further than this hunk! He's a lover and guaranteed to melt your heart! Approximate Birthdate: April 2023 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.
