Darcy's Story
Darcy is a 17 lb, four year old Schnauzer mix. She came into rescue when her owner passed away and her fur siblings were surrendered to the shelter. DINO pulled Darcy and three of her siblings when they did not get adopted by the public.
Darcy has been in a foster home with three other dogs and has done extremely well. She is housebroken, and crate trained, but sometimes tries to escape her crate. Darcy is working on her leash walking. She loves to ride in the car, sleep with her human, and behaves very well when out at restaurants.

Darcy absolutely loves and adores her humans, and bonds very quickly, especially to her female human. She loves other dogs, but would probably also be fine as queen of the castle, as long as a human member of her family is typically home. As she acclimates to her new home, she will likely initially howl for a bit when left alone. Darcy has not been tested with children. She will likely chase cats.

We will only adopt Darcy out to families in a single family home with a secured, fenced yard. Since Darcy can be an escape artist, it is important that there are no climbing items around the fence (garbage cans/chairs). An adopting family in the Orange County area is preferred.

If you would like to meet Darcy, hop on over to our website at http://dogsinneedorg.com/apply-to-adopt/

The adoption fee for Darcy is $450 which includes Spay, Vaccines, Rabies and Microchip
