Darby is continuing to learn new things every day- her handlers have started to teach her some fun stuff while she waits for her new family to come along! Please check her out- she is a great size and will fit in just about anywhere!<br/><br/>UPDATE! Darby is so much fun and so loving. She can be a little selective with her doggy friends, but does fine with dogs about her size (she's not too crazy about a dog being overly assertive). Check back next week- she will be ready to take her CGC test and should pass with flying colors! <br/><br/>UPDATE 9/24! Darby is ready, willing and able! What a happy-go-lucky, loving girl! She LOVES her people and quickly warms up to doggy friends. Darby loves to play and will solicit activity from her doggy friends- she would love a four-legged housemate who also loves to play. Darby picks up on all her commands immediately and will be a wonderful companion. <br/><br/><br/>Darby is a doll! She LOVES her people and just wants to be with them all the time. Darby arrived at the prison on Sept 2 and immediately stole their hearts. She is a young chocolate lab mix about 9 months old, 30 pounds and growing, and was saved from an euthanizing facility when her time was up. Darby is reactive to other dogs, and the handlers are going to work hard with her to overcome this, but would probably love to be the only dog in the home and have all the humans to herself. Please check back frequently for updates on her progress. <br/><br/>UPDATE 9/16!!! Darby has been slowly introduced to several dogs and been nothing but playful and curious about them. She is fantastic with all the people, does not have any body handling issues and would love an active family to play with!<br/><br/>Darby is receiving her obedience training at a Virginia correctional center.
