Dara's Story
Age: 4 months as of 3/15

Size: ~15 lbs

Estimated breed: Terrier/Retriever mix

Itty bitty Dara found herself all alone at only 3 months old in a rural shelter in South Carolina. The shelter is already at double capacity with zero empty kennels, so poor Dara was stuck sitting in a stacked crate 24/7, surrounded by the sounds of smells of a shelter with over 100 animals. We committed to taking another litter of puppies from this shelter and saw Dara's sweet face in the background of a video. Did we have a foster for her? No. Did we have a plan in place? No. Did that stop us from committing to Dara? Absolutely not.

So ready or not, Dara is joining us in PA and is looking for a foster or forever home! She is around 3 months old and weighs 7.25 lbs. We have no idea what breeds she may be mixed with, but are saying terrier mix for now! She's a little spitfire who loves playing with the large pit bulls in her South Carolina foster home and snuggling with her people! She has met several kids in her foster home and done great with them. Of course, we always recommend supervised introductions! We have not seen her around cats yet but we can test her for an approved adopter. Like all puppies, she's looking for a forever home with lots of time, patience, and love to help her grow into the best girl she can be.

To adopt Dara, please apply on our website! www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application

Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.

2/22/23 5:44 PM
