Dante's Story

Meet Dante! This handsome boy is about 1 year old and we believe he may be a Lab/Pit mix. He weighed 49 lbs at his last vet appointment. Dante is a very social boy who loves to be near his people. He gets along with other dogs and we think he would thrive with a big yard to run and play in. Dante also really enjoys water, he likes chasing the water from the hose! Dante has been the sweetest boy at the shelter and would love a forever home. He is up to date on all shots and preventative, heartworm negative, and neutered. Please let us know if you would like to meet him!

Madisonville Animal Control's Adoption Policy

All animals adopted through us will be up to date on vaccinations, HW and flea meds, and spayed or neutered. The adoption fees for our animals are as follows. Puppies under 4 months: $65 Dogs over 4 months: $50 Kittens and cats: $30 If you would like to set up an appointment to meet any of our dogs please call the Animal Control Officer Ellie Hickerson at 936-245-9006 Monday-Friday 8am until 5pm.
