Dante's Story

Hi, I’m Dante!

I know, I know. The big brown eyes, the funny little face, the tiny body. Pretty hard to resist, right? I’m a little Pit Bull Terrier mix with a whole lot of personality, and I’ve already figured out that being ridiculously cute has its advantages!

I’m a super sweet, playful little boy who loves people, enjoys other dogs, and is always happy to soak up some affection. I’m still just a baby, so I have lots of growing and learning ahead of me. I may even do well with cats since I’m young enough to learn with proper introductions.

There is something important about me, though. I have hydrocephalus, a condition that causes extra fluid to build up in my brain. This means I may need additional medical care, monitoring, and a family willing to understand my special needs. My rescue wants my future family to know this because I deserve someone who is ready to love and care for all of me.

But here’s what else you should know: I’m still Dante! I’m a happy, affectionate puppy who loves to play, cuddle, and enjoy life. My diagnosis doesn’t take away my sweet personality or how much love I have to give.

I might need a little extra attention throughout my life, but I think I’m worth it. Just look at this face!
